You know when you're in planning mode and you're just trying to figure your life out, especially when you are straight out of college with a degree you feel that you can't use? You plan and plan which leads to you stressing out because you can't figure everything out. Instead of planning and seeking out for advice, have you taken the time to spend time with the creator and seek his advice? It’s so easy to get caught up on how your life is supposed to look after college. Just because you may not get to a destination as fast as someone else doesn’t mean that you are excluded from receiving blessings. Greatness takes time and Oprah was not built in a day.

If you are taking a job after college that is a prerequisite for where you want to be, but you aren’t really feeling it, be sure to learn valuable skills and lessons from it. Too many times, millennials don’t give anything a chance. We want to just pack up, leave and try something else that will benefit us. There will be times where you must go through uncomfortable seasons to strengthen your faith, patience and skills. Live in the now and enjoy every moment because once you finally get that dream job, what’s next? Are you just going to stop there? There are many people who said once they finally got where they wanted to be, they thought “what’s next?”

The important fact to remember is to enjoy the journey. Remember to pursue purpose instead of pursuing titles and money. Don’t know your God-given purpose? Now is the perfect time to do some self-reflection and figure it out.

Finally, just relax and stop worrying yourself to death. You aren’t going to get to your destination any faster by worrying, so have faith that everything will work out. Wouldn’t you be disappointed if you rushed your life, chased a title/money and when you finally get there, you hate it? There’s nothing wrong with starting at the bottom because the bottom will teach you valuable lessons that you need to make it to the top. Life after college can be scary, but if you seek purpose and take leaps in your faith, everything will come to fruition.
